Taylor Crosby

A Little About Myself

 

Hello! My name is Taylor Crosby, and I am a graduate of The University of Alabama. 



Since I was a kid, I've always been interested in TV. When I stayed at my grandmother's house, I always watched the evening network newscasts and wishing I could someday be part of them. After receiving a scholarship to The University of Alabama, I decided to follow my dream and pursue a degree in Broadcast News. So, I packed up and left my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee and headed down to Tuscaloosa.



At The University of Alabama, I was a double major in Telecommunications and Film and Political Science. I was a member of the Honors College, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society, and the RTDNA Leadership Circle. I was also a Resident Advisor for University Housing.



I've also had internships along the way. During my freshman year, I began at Crimson Tide Productions with the University of Alabama Athletic Department. It was there where I received hands-on experience with shooting, production, and even directing. In the summer of 2012, I interned in the Community and Media Relations Department of East Tennessee Children's Hospital. My responsibilities included leading tour groups, accommodating media requests and shoots, and writing press releases. In the Spring of 2013, I recieved a Guest Relations Professional Internship at Walt Disney World with The Walt Disney Company. This September, I will be a Production Intern with ESPN in Bristol, CT.
